Their main feature is the ability to self-regulate, ie automatically reduce their own heating power with increasing temperature (PTC characteristics). Additional advantages are: the possibility of their own crossing and overlapping without the risk of overheating and burnout, and the possibility of cutting to the required length. In addition, the SRM heating cable also has an FEP outer sheath.

The lengths of these heaters strongly depend on the unit power of the heater (30, 40 or 50 W/m) and range from 0.5 m to 125 m (for standards voltage of 230 V), and depend on the application and needs of the heated object.
